I really don’t enjoy posting video after video but I had to do this for you. I thought these guys were amazing! I found it very entertaining and full of great inspiration.
-Here goes!
This was just to cool to keep to myself. I found it while I was roaming through the youtube clips looking for cool new moves.
This routine is sick! I love Muse and “Uprising” is a pretty good song but I would’ve never of thought they would make a routine to it. That’s why I like them so much I guess, they take the dance to the next level.
Let me know what you think.
So everyone knows I’m a talker and if you didn’t, you’re already in too deep…there is no turning back now.
With that being said (disclaimer), I have a few issues that keep circling my mind with the RMSDC so I figured I would create polls about those issues and see how you feel about them as well. Just to give you a heads up, these polls will only let you do this once so be serious about your answers (don’t worry it won’t ask who you are , I made sure this was completely anonymous).
Man! It’s like there isn’t enough time in the day anymore, I feel like my days are getting shorter. I wake up, then drive or walk to work, Do my shift as a Work Force Planning scheduler for Staples ,Walk or drive home, code and study for a couple of hours, I might go dancing, then straight to bed. I swear it’s been like that for about a month now and it’s starting to feel like a “rinse and repeat cycle”. Anyways, I’m done bitching.
How have you all been? I haven’t heard from anyone in a while. I just recently decided to head back into the dancing scene and….Damn! I’m out of shape. I used to dance for a couple of hours before getting that feeling now it’s like two songs. While I’m on the topic of dancing, has anyone else noticed the attendance of the RMSDC dwindling? Maybe it’s just me but it seems like fewer people are showing up. There are some new faces which is good news for the future of the club but I don’t see any of the veterans.
On another note, I’ve finally made my first app for work, I designed it using XHTML, CSS, and PHP (a little JQuery too), and I’m super proud of myself right now. It’s a an app that allows us to keep total transparency for statistics and our department. We send emails out about what we do every hour and this cuts down on us having to make ugly templates that people won’t read…and it keeps us on the same page. I know you probably don’t care about this but for me it’s a small victory in my metamorphosis into a full fledged web developer/designer.
Yeah!Sooo….That’s all I’ve got for ya right now. I’ll try to get another post out there shortly so that I can reveal my most recent tour up into the Rockies (the mountains and not the baseball team…eeewww you’re gross!).
I need to start pulling down some of my links here soon so grab everything that you need. I’m going to start removing a couple of the dance related websites because I don’t see my link on their site…so there. I’ll slowly start adding posts/links about programming and all kinds of dorky/nerdy stuff.
I don’t think I’ll ever leave dance completely because it will always have a place in my heart. With that being said, I will be creating (on the side) a relative placement app that will have a couple of handy things in it for dancers. I need to take a big look at the overall picture and see what needs to be in the app and what doesn’t (recommendations are welcomed), but I have a rough idea.
Anyways, that’s all I have right now.
Man! Jamaica was beautiful! We stayed at the Tensing Pen resort for an entire weekend. A weekend…Yeah! It was just enough to make me want to stay.
It’s located in Negril which is a touristy/poor/country side of Jamaica. We were educated from the airport to the resort by a local driver that said they rely a lot on tourism to stay afloat out there. There were shops and vendors all along the streets and for the most part people were friendly. There’re several resorts and hotels along the road in Negril but I think we lucked out with our location.
The resort itself was very clean and very beautiful. A majority of resort rested on fossilized coral, which made it very easy to jump in the water when the weather got too hot. The staff on site were helpful, honest ( a friend lost his passport, gift, and money but a worker returned it…all), and are very grateful for being there when compared to the other jobs on the street or in the area. All in all, I have to say that we got the best resort in the area (I did swim/walk around and I couldn’t find it’s comparison).
The wedding was amazing! I was so happy for my little friends. They looked so cute and happy up there on the podium. I was truely happy for them and thought it was nice that they thought to invite me.

P.S. If my spelling and grammar are jacked on this post…I don’t care.
We just got back from Jamaica last week and I still haven’t fully uploaded all of the videos and photos I took while I was there. It was odd for me to be back home, I walked by thirty people going to work and they all seemed down. I guess I’m still getting over my vacation high, what do you think?
Don’t worry, more will come I just had to post something so you guys weren’t freak’n out.
Hmmm….
Where to start?
Here goes… I’ve decided to take a little break from dancing recently for my own sanity. I’ve become to consumed by all the political sideline crap to enjoy what I loved most about the scene, that would be the dancing. I’ve been a loyal attendee for many years and think I deserve a break for a bit. Trust me! It wasn’t easy for me to come to conclusion but I had to for my own good.
With that being said, you might see my website change in a direction that goes more towards the technical side of my life. This would include bits and pieces of journey into the nerd-dom of code. I’ve recently found a sexier love…computer science. I’ve always been fascinated by people who’ve been able to manipulate computers and other gadgets to make their lives easier and I want that too.
The following changes might take place:
- My Links = I might get rid of some of the links that I don’t use anymore
- My Dance Videos = Since I don’t plan on updating them I see no need in having them
- Content = In general I’ll probably not post as much on dancing
Yeah…
All in all, I had a blast with this blog being all about dance but I need people to understand who I am. If I want to keep this blog going then I’m going to have to be transparent and change this along with me.
Don’t worry, I didn’t fall off the face of the earth again. I’ve just been busy with learning PHP, Javascript, and Mysql (coding languages). It’s taken up most of my time recently.
With that being said, I told Shane that I would drop some of this info on my website as a last minute ” Help a brother out…” kind of thing.
Don’t be afraid to get in contact with Shane @ Gravity Dance Prodcutions if you have any questions.
